Thoughts here and thereRandom stuff from my head... April 22 Talking about Boracay International Dragonboat Festival
Quote Talking about Boracay International Dragonboat Festival November 05 Goodbye Kokey!Don't get me wrong, I don't watch the series. I'm just happy that it will come to an end. For me, kokey is irritatingly stupid. That's just me.
October 30 Fund Raising for my Cousin Oct 30, '07 7:30 PMThe family decided to organize a garage sale for our cousin, Ambel, who's in the hospital. Diagnosed with cancer, their family needs help. If you guys have some stuff that you can give out for help, I would really appreciate it. We need all the help we can get :) October 29 The ProducerWatched The Producer a while ago on HBO, it was really entertaining. Never been a fan of musicals, but this was really funny. This was a remake of a 1968 movie, which had great reviews as well. Starring: Uma Thurman, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, William Ferrell The movie was totally hillarious. The events revolving around the plot were knitted perfectly! Getting the worse screenplay, the color and the feel of the file was great. Will Ferrell did a good job in his role, same as what he did on his other movies. A favorite part of mine, although I'm a homophobe, was the part when they were convincing the cross-dressing director to sign the contract. It was both scary and funny, they way the actors played out their roles, dress, lines of the songs were just great. Not really a critic of musicals, but for me the acting and the way they palyed out the songs and tunes were ok. Overall, it's a movie that you should watch for yourself. 5 stars for me :) October 18 Tan-ton Thai massage DavaoYesterday I was in Davao for a work related trip. After finishing my event, I had the urge to get a massage as my back was giving me discomfort again. Dbul, a partner who I work with in Davao, suggested Tan-ton Thai Massage. A welcomed suggestion since I needed the stretches :)
Tan-ton Massage is located at Jp. Laurel Ave, if memory serves me right. Just across Chicken Ati-atihan, a spot where a number of commercial/non-commercial establishments are located. Also, near Nurse-Guide, one of the many review centers for nursing graduates. The place was small, located at the second floor of the building. You won't go wrong since you can ask the ale in the carenderia below for directions.
They offer Foot massage, full-body massages, and back massages for your needs. got the back massage for 1hr, which costs 200Php, not bad. Upon entering, you'd see people having foot massages, and curtains separting the matts where you get the body massages from view. So the assumption is this is a legit establishment, if you know what I mean.
The massage was great, the attendand knew when and how to apply pressure. I almost fell asleep :) before finishing the massage, the attendand took a bow as if she were to begin a kung-fu match with someone, strangely comforting for me since I know that they took their profession seriously.
First time I ever tried a massage in Davao, it was a good experience for me. I was planning to try out BodyBliss that Rodel mentioned, http://suddenserenity.wordpress.com/2007/08/06/thai-massage-at-bodybliss/, but due to lack of time (Bumili ako ng 9kilong durian para sa pasalubong) I decided to go to the nearest suggested place.
